Pu-erh tea classification

1. According to storage method

Dry storage Pu'er: refers to the storage in a ventilated warehouse, so that the natural fermentation of tea, aged 10 to 20 years.

Wet Store Pu'er: It is usually placed in a humid place, such as a cellar in a basement, to speed up its fermentation. With Chenni or musty, the ageing speed is faster than dry Puer. Put 5 to 10 years.

2. Pu'er Tea is based on tree species

Arbor: The leaves of the arbor are mainly used as tea groves, and the leaves are larger.

Shrubs: mainly use shrub leaves as tea groves, and the leaves are smaller, which is generally seen as dwarf tea species.

3. Tea based on the system of points

Raw tea: After picking, it is fermented in a natural way. The tea is more irritating and should be put into tea for many years. The good old Pu'er is usually based on this method.

Cooked tea: After 1973, science was used to artificially temper tea, and the tea was soft and watery.

4. According to the appearance classification

Pu'er tea can be subdivided into the following categories according to its different shapes.

(a) Cake tea = flat disc-shaped, a bit like pie or pizza.

(b) Tea = shape and size of rice bowl.

Pu'er tea middle and superior products are mostly tea and cake tea.

(c) Brick tea = about half the size of bricks, also rectangular. For most of the brick teas, they are manufactured and shipped from Tibet, Mongolia and other places.
