Application of building automation system in modern hospital buildings

Taking the building control design of a hospital as an example, this paper expounds the design of the building automation system, system configuration, system function and economic and energy saving analysis of the building.

1 Overview

A hospital door, emergency department and ward building consists of a basement and a thirteenth floor. The total height of the building is 49.45m, and the total construction area is 42868.3m2, of which the above-ground building area is 39745.5m2 and the underground building area is 3122.8m2. The whole building is divided into functional areas by floor and east and west. Among them, the first floor and the fifth floor are the door, the emergency department, the operating room, the ICU ward and the hospital office area, and the 6~13 floors are ordinary and cadre wards.

The characteristics of the use of hospital buildings are different from those of ordinary buildings. The use characteristics of this project are time-sensitive and high turnover rate. Therefore, the corresponding electromechanical equipment should be adjusted according to the flow of personnel, door, emergency time and distribution of clinics. Start and stop.

The hospital building is divided into public areas, operating areas, ward areas, clean areas, etc. according to different functions. Air flow in different areas should be separated to prevent cross-infection. Therefore, air-conditioning and ventilation systems should be designed in different areas. Building automation systems should also be partitioned. The control meets the requirements of doctors and patients on the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and ventilation in the building, reduces the chance of patients being infected due to unclean air, shortens the treatment cycle and improves the cure rate.

In addition, the building automation system platform can also realize the connection and linkage with the interfaces of fire alarm system, intelligent lighting system, security system and parking lot management system.

2, design ideas

The building automation system design of this project mainly follows the design principles of comfort, energy saving, safety, reliability, openness and efficiency:

â—†The system structure is open, supporting BACnet, LonWorks and RS485 bus modes, so that it can be easily connected to other systems in the future;

â—† By monitoring, diagnosing and recording the operation status of the equipment, early detection and troubleshooting, timely issuing maintenance and maintenance notices to ensure that the equipment always works in a good state and operates reliably.

3, system structure

In this project, the building automation system can automatically monitor or control the cold and heat source system, air conditioning and air supply and exhaust systems, power distribution equipment, as well as lighting, water supply and drainage, medical gas monitoring and elevator systems. Record, store and manage important information and data about the system.

(1) Management Network (MLN)

The system's graphics workstation can access Ethernet for data management, achieve regional data networking, and improve management.

(2) Automatic Control Network (ALN)

Each field controller DDC can connect up to 100 ALN controllers via the PeertoPeer network (same-layer bus sharing without master-slave mode) at a rate of 115.2 kbps.
