Fujitsu, Sony, etc. recently proposed to use electronic paper in the medical field solution

At the "2016 Japan International Modern Medical Exhibition" held on July 13-15, Fujitsu and Sony proposed solutions for using electronic paper at medical and nursing sites.

Fujitsu's affiliate company FITEC exhibited large-scale signs using 31.2-inch white and black electronic paper, which can be used for doctors' duty watches and in-hospital navigation maps.

FITEC's hospitals, which originally used paper (analog) doctors' watch schedules, said that the product has the same display performance as printed matter, and hospitals that use liquid crystal displays emphasize their power-saving performance. According to the company's introduction, the first one will be delivered and set up in a hospital soon.

Also at Fujitsu's booth, a prototype of the "personal digital signage" using electronic paper being developed by the Fujitsu Research Institute was also exhibited. This is a sign worn on the wrist. The intended use scenario is to send the required information wirelessly to each patient and display it.
