AvantGen will develop more antibody-based anticancer drugs for Tanabe Research Laboratories USA using its proprietary human antibody yeast display platform.
AvantGen, Inc. is a biotechnology company with an antibody discovery and optimization platform in San Diego, USA. The company today announced the successful completion of Tanabe Research Laboratories USA, Inc. (TRL)'s first antibody-based anticancer drug discovery program and has launched TRL's second project. Under the terms of the partnership, AvantGen is responsible for the development of novel antibodies targeting specific cancer targets using its proprietary human antibody yeast display technology platform. TRL owns the global development and commercialization rights of antibodies discovered by AvantGen. AvantGen will receive upfront payments, milestone payments and royalties related to the development and sale of any derivative products generated by the partnership.
