Pipette pipetting technique for laboratory instruments 2 - water inlet angle and micrometer setting

The pipetting results of the pipette are actually very susceptible to the use of our pipettes. In order to get the best results and to ensure the accuracy of the experiment, we need to use good pipetting techniques. Lebe will introduce you to two tips for getting the best pipetting effect.
Tip 1: Keep the vertical water angle when aspirating.
When we are pipetting, we should make the water inlet angle as close as possible to the vertical position; otherwise, the vertical liquid column will suck too much sample.
In the case of liquid separation, the tip should be kept at a small angle to the wall of the container to ensure a good drainage effect.
Pipetting in the vertical position (especially when using a micropipette) increases the pipetting accuracy of the pipette by up to 2%.
Tip 2: Consistent micrometer settings
When setting the micrometer, always set the micrometer from the same direction, and it is best to go from high to low.
When reducing the pipette capacity setting from high capacity to low capacity, you only need to lower the dial to the desired capacity setting.
When you increase the pipette capacity setting, you need to turn the selection wheel to slightly exceed the required capacity, and then slowly adjust back to the correct setting. This is done to avoid mechanical backlash.
The accuracy of the volume setting operation can increase the pipetting accuracy of the pipette by 0.5%.
